Jakarta – In an effort to increase taxpayer compliance and strengthen regional development, the Blitar City Government held a Regional Tax Appreciation Event and a Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) 2025 Raffle at the Mayor's Office on Friday (12/12).

In his statement, Blitar Mayor Syauqul Muhibbin revealed that this annual event is a form of appreciation for the community who have been diligent in paying their local taxes.

“All taxes paid by the community are fully used to finance various government programs that have a direct impact on regional empowerment and development,” he said in a written statement, as quoted by akp21.or.id on Saturday (13/12).

The mayor, who is often called Mas Ibbin, also said that amid budget efficiency policies, taxpayer compliance is key to ensuring that development programs continue to run optimally. Moreover, his office also highlighted that a number of issues developing in the community have influenced tax collection, but the government remains optimistic that local revenue (PAD) can be supported by the service sector, tourism, and various multi-events that are regularly held in Blitar City.

As of the end of November, PBB-P2 realization reached IDR 14.3 billion. As a form of appreciation, there were around 46,593 Tax Object Numbers (NOP) that participated in the Blitar City PBB-P2 lottery.

“We express our appreciation to taxpayers who are disciplined in paying their taxes. This appreciation is a form of our love for all taxpayers to ask for their help in increasing tax payments by paying on time,” he said.

Not only that, the 2025 Regional Tax Appreciation Event held by the Blitar City Government also provided a variety of attractive raffle prizes and door prizes, ranging from TVs, refrigerators, mountain bikes, electric bikes to motorcycles.

“The 2025 Regional Tax Appreciation Event also serves as a form of motivation for the community to become more aware and compliant in fulfilling their regional tax obligations,” concluded Mas Ibbin.
