Jakarta – In order to accelerate the integration of the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) registration system for the Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperative (KDKMP), Director General (Dirjen) of Taxes Bimo Wjiayanto and Deputy for Institutional and Digital Cooperatives of the Ministry of Cooperatives Henra Saragi signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) in the Madya Meeting Room on the 5th floor of the Marie Muhammad Building at the Directorate General of Taxes (KPDJP) Headquarters some time ago.
Director General of Taxes Bimo Wjiayanto revealed that the PKS activity was carried out as a follow-up to Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2025 concerning the Acceleration of the Establishment of Merah Putih Village/Sub-District Cooperatives as a national strategic policy to accelerate the establishment of 80 thousand KDKMPs throughout Indonesia.
“Through this MoU, we have agreed to collaborate in accelerating the implementation of the integration of the NPWP registration system for village cooperatives,” he stated in a written statement, as quoted by akp2i.or.id on Sunday (21/12).

He added that both institutions agreed to collaborate in the areas of data exchange and utilization, socialization and education, as well as other activities agreed upon by both institutions. The cooperation agreement document also stipulates the benefits for both institutions.
The DGT will obtain profile, financial, and potential data on KDKMPs to be used as a basis for analysis in fulfilling tax obligations. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Cooperatives will obtain data on Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP), reports on the fulfillment of Annual Income Tax Returns (SPT Tahunan PPh), and reports on the fulfillment of Periodic Income Tax Returns (SPT Masa PPh 21/26) by KDKMP to be used as a basis for monitoring the performance of cooperatives.
“Of course, this is an excellent basis (of data) for prudent analysis to secure state revenue and monitor compliance in the cooperative sector,” he added.

Furthermore, Bimo also said that based on internal DGT data, as of December 16, 2025, there were 81,436 taxpayers with the name “Koperasi Desa Merah Putih” out of a total of 83,016 KDKMPs in the Ministry of Cooperatives database. More specifically, the number of registered taxpayers consisted of approximately 56 thousand taxpayers (69.55 percent) who registered voluntarily and 24 thousand taxpayers (30.45 percent) who were registered through field data collection activities (extensification).
“Through the momentum of signing this cooperation agreement, we certainly hope that together we can provide greater benefits for government programs to achieve community welfare,” he concluded.
